English for Academic Purposes and Foundation Studies (EAP)
As an Australia Awards Scholarship conditional awardee, you will be required to undertake 12 months of English for Academic Purposes training if you do not meet the English language requirement of your approved course at an Australian university. Undergraduate awardees are required to have High School qualifications equivalent to a Higher School Certificate. Those awardees who do not have this equivalency will be required to undertake a Foundation Year program.
Vientiane College is the provider of the English for Academic Purposes and Foundation Year Program for the Australia Awards Scholarship conditional awardees in Laos.
Australia Awards Scholarship conditional awardees must attend all classes and it is expected that you will devote your time and effort to your studies on a full-time basis. As such, conditional awardees should not continue working or attend work-related activities during their studies.
In the final term of the EAP/FY Program awardees will undergo an IELTS test. If you meet the English and academic requirements of your approved course, you will be eligible to commence your studies in Australia. More information about Placement is available on our website, or contact the Australia Awards Office Laos.
